Reusable emails with placeholders filled per person and blanks you fill by hand.

Placeholders

{{first_name}}, {{last_name}}, {{company}} and {{email}} are filled from the prospect. Add a fallback for empty fields with a pipe: {{first_name|there}} becomes “there” when the first name is missing.

Blanks

[[like this]] marks something you fill per email, such as a personal line. An email with an unfilled blank can't be sent. Fill blanks inline from the Drafts list, in the draft editor, or in Preview, where filling one replaces it everywhere in the template.

Follow-up templates

Follow-ups for single emails use the template named followup. A template named followup-2 (or -3) is used once a thread already has that many emails. If they contain blanks, automatic follow-ups can't send them and keep them as drafts; Settings warns you.

Editing with the assistant

Open the assistant beside a template and ask, for example, “fill the body and sign off as Nirman” or “make it shorter”. It returns an Apply to editor card; applying types the change in, and one ⌘ Z undoes the whole edit. Nothing is saved until you save.
