Follow-ups
Nudge people who haven't replied, counted per conversation, by hand or automatically.
For single emails
Set these in Settings → Follow-ups:
| Follow-ups per thread | None to 3. Each email thread is its own conversation, so a new email to the same person gets its own follow-ups. |
| Days without a reply | 0–30 days after your latest email in the thread. |
| Send follow-ups automatically | Off: due follow-ups appear on the Follow-ups page as drafts for you to send. On: they go out on their own. |
When someone is due
Your latest email to them has had no reply for the set number of days, the thread hasn't used up its follow-ups, and they aren't opted out. A reply on any of your threads after that latest email counts as an answer. An old reply to an earlier email doesn't block a new conversation.
Automatic follow-ups
Checked every minute. Just before sending, the app checks Gmail for new replies so someone who just answered isn't chased. A follow-up that can't send (for example it has blanks) stays as a draft and the Activity log says why.
For campaigns
Campaigns have their own follow-up count, spacing and message, approved with the campaign and sent with its batches.
