Drafts and sending
Every email starts as a draft. You edit it, review the exact message and confirm the send.
The flow
- EditEach save creates a new version. The history keeps every version, who made it (you or the assistant), and lets you restore one.
- ReviewShows exactly what Gmail will receive: To, From, Subject and body. Follow-ups show that they go into the existing thread.
- ConfirmTick “I reviewed this and want to send it”, then send now or pick a date and time.
- SentThe draft locks. Its Gmail message and thread IDs are kept for reply tracking.
What blocks a send
- The prospect is opted out or bounced.
- Unfilled
[[blanks]]or placeholders that didn't fill. - The draft changed after you opened the review (for example in another tab): review the new version.
- Gmail isn't connected.
Never sent twice
A draft can be sent once. Retrying after an error reuses the same request key, so a double click or a flaky network can't send a second copy. If a send is interrupted and the app can't tell whether Gmail delivered it, the draft moves to Sending / unknown and isn't retried: check Gmail Sent before writing again.
From the assistant
When the assistant writes a single email, its card has Review and send, which opens this review step (with the time filled in if you asked for one).
